Slow season

The breeding season started slow. But by now I've got a double breeder with chicks. Not yet the quality I bred last year, far from. But certainly a few useful ones. Also my first recessive pied in years (until proven otherwise). I will get pictures in a few weeks.

In the mean time things are picking up breeding wise:

Second round from the light green x A. yellow face albino is hatching already. The cocks from this pair will resurrect my ino line; The hens fit perfectly in my main line.

And this winning cock has 3 fertile eggs with the mother of my winning baby of last year (here all grown up). So fingers crossed. This pair is also taking care of an egg from his brother.

And a few other hens are also on fertile eggs, including the mother of 'the pieds' with her grand father: the founding cock of all my good ones. Perhaps this will introduce Australian pied and/or grey green in my main line. I hope neither.
