Chick count so far (first round)

I've just extended the weaning cage from two to three breeding cages. I extended it by putting a hen in the flight and her last two chicks in the weaning cage.

So far the weaning cage has 12 young: 5 exhibition young and 7 pet ones. In the coming week or so 10 more exhibition young will be transferred to the weaning cage. That makes a total of 15 exhibtion young so far (first round) and 22 in total. Quality wise:
  • 3 far better then I was expecting to breed
  • 3 very good one
  • 5 good ones
  • 4 mediocre ones

The second round already has 9 chicks hatched (6 exhibition chicks), 6 fertile exhibition eggs, one hen started laying and a few hens that need to be repaired again. I'm hoping there are more good chicks to follow.
