A great visit to Harald Lindtner (Austria)

Last week I was in Linz (Austria) for work. I took the opportunity to visit local breeder Harald Lindtner. He's also president of the ÖWV Landesgruppen Oberösterreich und Salzburg. After a long break he restarted in 2004 and has a small enterprise for marketing, communication and design.

He kindly picked me up from my hotel and I was warmly welcomed by him and his family. We've talked a lot about budgerigars, Belgium, Belgian breeders and much more. It was a wonderful evening!

Here are some pictures (apologies for my poor camera skills). His stud is Büttner and Mannes based and he also has some Lütolf blood (though with less result).

These are all from the spangle line, but he also has an excellent ino line. He prefers lutino's, but most are albino because they were of better quality.

Next to these two main lines he also breeds good quality dilutes. Other colours in his bird room are cinnamon, opaline, pied, clearbody, ... He likes the colours, but also the light greens. Unfortunately he doesn't have many light greens for the moment.

Anyway it was a great evening and well worth the visit!
